是否有考虑过为D.O.R.F.

1. Currently there is very little concrete story, but this is mostly because we would prefer to develop the actual mechanics of the game first, and then develop the story and campaign around that. The game will still very much feature a large single player story campaign for each faction, it's just something that's not the focus of development right now. 2. I have thought about subfactions, although if DORF did include this, it would likely be in some kind of expansion or DLC update, as adding three full factions is already a lot of work as it is. 3. This is something I'm not 100% certain of. Currently the plan for building repair is that buildings will automatically repair (albeit slowly), but only if they are staffed with technicians or engineers. Technicians may require some additional explanation; DORF will have a unique system related to population. Where games like Starcraft and Age of Empires would allow you to increase your population capacity by constructing certain buildings, DORF will also include that system, but with an additional mechanic where automatic transports arrive from off-map and deliver Recruits, which are converted into units when new units or buildings are created. So for instance, training infantry has Recruits convert into the selected infantry, and constructing buildings has Recruits staff the building as Technicians. This means the player has to be careful about securing their supply route, so the enemy does not ambush incoming transports to destroy new Recruit shipments. Note that this system has not been implemented yet, and is currently conceptual (although adding this system will be part of the next major phase of development). The Technicians that staff buildings also tie into DORF's structure-capture system, where you use infantry to storm enemy buildings to take them over: if your infantry kill all the enemies inside, the building is yours (and this includes Technicians, which also act as guards inside the buildings). Note that lost Technicians will be replenished with fresh Recruits, if any are available. So, to tie this back in with structure repair, yes, repairs will be automatic and cost a small amount of resources (although you can disable repair per-building if you don't want to spend the money). Engineers (and worker units in general) can also repair buildings if staffed inside of them, which allows you repair neutral buildings that don't have Technician staff, like civilian structures. 4. Speed for heavily damaged vehicles is reduced, though they can be repaired at a service depot structure (every faction will have one of these structures). Combat effectiveness won't be reduced by damage, however, to tie this in with question 6, if a vehicle isn't fully crewed, it will suffer penalties to combat effectiveness, yes. 5. It's unlikely there will be truly dynamic weather. Although some maps may have special rules for rain or snow that may reduce visibility, or things like that. There will also be fire that spreads and damages units and buildings, but that's not quite the same thing as "weather". 6. Vehicles will have crew that can be removed or replaced, or killed by certain weapons. Since units in DORF can gain experience and become more powerful, unit rankings for vehicles is tied to the crew, and not the vehicle itself. So if a veteran tank is lost, some of its crew may survive, and can be inserted into other vehicles. 7. The engine is based on OpenRA, which already supports such things. I haven't tested it in 4K, but we do have UI elements designed to work for super high resolutions. 8. DORF will include field artillery and field guns in general, which, as in real life, have heavy firepower but lack the armor and mobility of vehicles, and are reliant on transports and towing to move long distances. While the Empire has more focus on these sorts of weapons, the other 2 factions will have field guns as well. While there may not be "artillery structures", there will be something like gun-pits that can be constructed to house artillery and field guns in for protection. 9. There will be a Katyusha-like weapon, but it will belong to the Warband faction (the guerilla raiders). 10. The Empire will have some self-propelled guns. 11. Propaganda towers will be a thing for the Empire faction, which will confer a slight combat effectiveness bonus to friendly units within their range. Infantry can be healed by placing them in the barracks (or equivalent structure, for the other factions). Unit upgrades in general can be found across all factions, and will be similar to Generals' or Starcraft's upgrades, where they will affect specific units, sometimes improving existing weapons, adding new weapons or new abilities. There will also be neutral civilian structures that can be captured for unique bonuses, similar to those found in Red Alert 2 and Generals.
